Edge Gateway Outdoor
Edge Gateway (Outdoor) AG20System configurations and integrations
Installs outdoors without an enclosure
An LTE gateway for surveillance cameras
It keeps the features of the Edge Gateway (Indoor), such as 4 PoE ports, up to 4 SIMs, and protection against momentary power interruptions. We newly developed dust and water resistance, direct sunlight protection, lightning protection (SPD), a power supply, and LTE antennas, and housed everything in a single box.
It is an outdoor IoT gateway running Linux, designed for outdoor surveillance cameras.

Overview of reliability technologies
When an error occurs, the device first reboots only the affected part.
It is designed to recover from errors without stopping the whole device, keeping downtime short.
It reboots the whole device only if that does not resolve the error.
- Integrates with the Device Management System, our cloud-based maintenance service, for remote maintenance and operation
- Detects a frozen PoE-connected camera automatically and recovers it by resetting PoE
- If one mobile carrier’s network fails, the device switches to another carrier automatically to restore communication
Example surveillance camera system
- The outdoor edge gateway packs into one unit many of the functions needed when you connect surveillance cameras
- Supplies PoE power to 4 Ethernet ports, so you can connect and run 4 cameras
- Accepts an SSD for recording camera video (edge recording)
- Its high-performance CPU can run full video management software on the device
- Conventional setups needed several devices to cover all of these functions. This device handles all of them in one unit.
Remote maintenance and operation
with the Device Management System
Integration with the cloud-based Device Management System reduces a wide range of operational work
How the Device Management System is used
- Automatic initial setup of the Edge Gateway (Outdoor)
- Device health monitoring of IP cameras and IoT devices
- Remote monitoring of firmware and settings
- Collection of syslog during operation
- Management of device locations
- Configuration transfer on device replacement
Manage recorded video from multiple sites in one place
with the Enhanced Video Management System
A cloud application service that generates monitoring screens in the cloud and delivers them to your terminals
- Shows video from multiple cameras together on a monitoring screen in the cloud
- Monitor video on a large screen
- Uploads and shows thumbnail video from multiple cameras at regular intervals
- Rotation feature cycles through video from many cameras
- Control a specific camera that raised an alarm and analyze its video
- Copies recorded video data to the cloud so multiple terminals can view it at the same time
- Can be customized to suit operators
Make full use of video with the preinstalled VMS “Nx Witness” from Network Optix
Software for using video: it controls the display, recording, playback, and search of camera video
- Configuration and control of IP cameras that support the ONVIF standard
- Recording and analysis of captured video
- Smart search of recorded video (*)
* A feature that lets you select part of the screen in recorded video and find and extract images from the times when there was movement in that area.
After an accident or incident, you can find the scenes with movement in a specific area and investigate efficiently.
