Thank you for using our services. This is the amnimo Inc. public relations team.
On Aug 27, 2026, Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ) issued a press release announcing the launch of IIJ Multi-Profile SIM 2.0, which lets one SIM switch between the NTT DOCOMO and KDDI networks.
IIJ press release
IIJ Multi-Profile SIM 2.0 stores communication profiles for the NTT DOCOMO and KDDI networks on one physical SIM, and switches connections based on the usage environment and signal conditions.
With one SIM card, you get communication redundancy across two mobile carriers in Japan. It is expected to be used in a wide range of IoT fields that need high communication availability and stability, such as manufacturing, local governments, infrastructure and facility management, and payment terminals.
amnimo’s AC series devices support IIJ Multi-Profile SIM 2.0. Each AC series device has 2 SIM slots. Insert IIJ Multi-Profile SIM 2.0 into one of them to use this function.
Supported devices:
- AC10-011JP-10
- AC15-011JP-10
- AC15-061JP-10
- AC25-011JP-21
- AC25-061JP-21
amnimo has provided IoT routers, gateways, and other devices to help build the stable communication environments that industrial applications require.
By supporting IIJ Multi-Profile SIM 2.0, we will contribute further to more stable communication with redundant mobile connections and to IoT systems that are less likely to stop.
