On Jun 24, 2026, Hitachi Solutions Technology, Ltd. issued a press release announcing the release of event detection software that optimizes input to generative AI (VLM). The software was developed for amnimo’s AI edge gateways (AX series devices) and was commercialized after a demonstration test conducted jointly with amnimo. amnimo and Hitachi Solutions Technology have worked together as AI partners for some time, bringing a range of AI applications to market. The newly commercialized software mainly detects people and vehicles entering dark areas, for example to prevent copper wire theft at solar power plants. It is an AI application whose detection accuracy was improved by additional training on video from real solar power plants provided by amnimo. Hitachi Solutions Technology also links the software with a generative AI system that can be used in the cloud or on premises, which makes AI intrusion detection more advanced and reduces false alarms. amnimo sees this architecture, in which edge AI apps work with generative AI, as following a key concept for making AI applications more advanced in the future, and we intend to help spread the commercialized software through business collaboration.
