amnimo launches the amnimo Portable (Name Badge) AB12: a name badge camera and cloud service for addressing customer harassment and keeping workplaces safe

amnimo Inc. (headquarters: Musashino-shi, Tokyo; President and CEO: Osamu Kojima; “amnimo”) will offer the amnimo Portable (Name Badge) AB12 from Dec 12, 2025. It is the second product in amnimo Portable, which combines portable cameras with a cloud service for managing their video, and it is designed specifically for addressing customer harassment.

Market background and issues

  • In service, retail, public transportation, and other fields where staff deal directly with customers, the mental and physical burden of customer harassment on employees has been growing. In some cases it disrupts work, and it has become a major social issue. One way to address it is to keep reliable video and audio evidence and to have a system for managing and sharing it securely.
  • However, existing measures have the following issues.
  • Video storage and management depend on the device, which makes video hard to share and use
  • Network environment limits make deployment and operation time-consuming
  • High monthly fees often make deployment cost a barrier

amnimo Portable (Name Badge) AB12 features

To solve these issues and protect employees and companies, the AB12 is a solution that provides a new name badge–style wearable device and a cloud service that supports evidence preservation as one package.

Solution features

  • Worn as a name badge camera, it records the situation on site in real time from the employee’s point of view and preserves evidence for addressing customer harassment
  • Data stored on the device is encrypted, which minimizes the risk of data leaks if the device is lost or stolen
  • Continuous recording to the device’s SD card prevents missed footage, and hybrid management saves only the needed video to the cloud for secure data management

Device features

  • A new name badge design that staff can wear and use naturally
  • Lightweight at about 76 g, so it does not burden employees
  • Connects directly to LTE or wireless LAN to share video and the situation with remote locations right away

Main specifications

  • Operating time: About 6 to 8 hours (varies with use and environment)
  • Communication: LTE / wireless LAN
  • Resolution: VGA (640 × 480)
  • Size and weight: 90 (W) × 36 (D) × 15 (H) mm, about 76 g

Cloud service features

  • Records video files on the edge device and uploads them to the cloud server as needed
  • Live video and audio viewable from the management screen
